African American Home Ownership & Home Equity Symposium
BALTIMORE, MD – On Friday, February 10, Baltimore City Councilman Robert Stokes, Sr. will host a symposium on African American home ownership and home equity. It is free and open to the public.
Councilman Stokes will moderate a panel of community leaders to focus on the economic wealth gap in Baltimore City’s African-American community (i.e., address housing blight and disinvestment, provide greater access to capital for African-American led organizations, and increase African-American homeownership and home equity). A second panel of Federal regulators and bank presidents will convene to discuss how current and future policies can be used to address the issue as well.
