Telephone Town Hall on COVID-19

Council President Brandon M. Scott will host a Telephone Town Hall on the latest updates and actions taken on the global COVID-19 pandemic. Thursday evening at 6:15pm, the Council President will be joined by special guest, Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Previously, Dr. Sharfstein served as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Principal Deputy Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as Commissioner of Health for Baltimore City, and as health policy advisor for Congressman Henry A. Waxman.

This town hall is an opportunity for the residents of Baltimore City to hear directly from a leading public health expert about the risks associated with COVID-19, and to have their questions answered.
